#besttraveltips #visitcostarica #scams ‘Another Costa Rica RIPOFF 🤬 Travel Tip “Yo, why u gotta be so negative?”‘ Travel Costa Rica NOW is a travel agency. BUT, we make videos about living AND traveling in Costa Rica. We provide our perspective of the good, the bad and the ugly of living and traveling in Costa Rica so you can make good decisions whether Costa Rica is a place you would like to visit or possibly live. To be clear, I, michael alan of Travel Costa Rica NOW, love living in Costa Rica. But I am realistic. I do NOT try to deceive you about Costa Rica…. it’s not being negative, it’s being realistic. HERE, the gas stations give a bad conversion rate if you pay them in dollars. The conversion rate is so bad, it appears as if they’re trying to steal your money. Hence this video, ‘Another Costa Rica RIPOFF 🤬 Travel Tip “Yo, why u gotta be so negative?”‘, in order to inform you of what they do here. Yes, maybe they do this everywhere in the world in regards to conversion rates. BUT, I don’t care, I”m just telling you, they do it here. And you need to know that. When you fill your gas tank, use colones to pay. That’s it. or don’t. Your call but at least you know they do do this here.

  1. It was definitely on our bucket list, we feel very lucky to have crossed it off. We had a great time during our 5 weeks. Lots of videos to post now!

  2. Nice tips, very well done for my country! Specially the pura vida part 🙂 For most things you mentioned are on point, however some things are not so true or realistic, like taking a trip to the Cocos island is not something a normal tourist would do realisticly speaking since it is very far away from Costa Rica and you need days to plan and permissions to go there. Also 6 coffee cups a day for the average costarican?! Where did that information came from? I don’t know anyone doing that so often, so to be that the average per person seems quite excesive. Also usually we don’t recommend visiting San Jose since it is not a very nice citiy to visit, so don’t waste time going there, you will find the same foods in any other place you visit. Anyhow, I also post many videos from Costa Rica on my channel, so anyone interested is welcome to take a look and any questions you might have let me know. cheers!

  3. Before you buy your tickets do your home work, I have lived in Costa Rica for 30 years, own a beautiful Estate their but when I returned from Florida the last two trips I was accosted and prejudiced against like hundreds of other foreigners entering the country. I am also married to a Costa Rican citizen but they refused to honor my Blue Cross Blue shield Insurance policy even though it is exactly the same as the Policy they tried to force me to buy which cost $1,000. for 30 day’s, even though I had a note from the Insurance company, stating that they pay 100% of all Covid related illnesses for me and my Costa Rican wife. this is a strong political move to make Costa Rica the next Venezuela, even though they are right next door to another failed country Nicaragua, I t is all about Globalism at a fevers pitch!!!!!!!

  4. if you want to visit this country do yourself the reservation of hotel and rent a car the touris agencies are a fraud they charge you high fees and the only thing they do is to do reservation and to move you from one point to the next and leave you in the hotel like a package, really awful, also if you want to see nature my advice would be much better go to South America. costa Rica agencies exaggerate what you will see, also most of this you tube I think is full of lies. I just came back and was most of the things disappointing,

  5. I am so excited, just found out I’m going here with my neighbors in April of 2023!!! I’ve never been out of the country before and so so pumped😊😊😊

  7. The combination of the Indigenous Food, Spanish, Jamaican/Caribbean we have alot of variety, but most people in Costa Rica are a little lazy in the kitchen.

  8. Finally after 2 years I planned a trip. Fly between Mexico, Costa rica, Columbia. No covid test or vax required just getting back to the US without these things will be a little interesting but I’m determined now already wasted 2 years of my life sitting around because of this nonsense.

  9. It’s a very nice country, just keep in mind it can get expensive and especially for foreigners. The rates for touristic places are usually higher, to the point that it’s excessive. For example, the Manuel Antonio National Park will charge you around $18 the entrance, but if you’re local it’s about $3. The Pre-Columbian Museums in San José charge foreigners $15 and locals around $4.

  10. There’s just no end to the beauty of this place. We have been twice and spent months, but still haven’t seen even close to all its besuty!

  11. Costa Rica was one of the best countries that I have visited. I’m in love with Costa Rica and can’t wait to go back

  12. Hi, I am planning a trip to Costa in May this year and wanted to know if you can recommend a driver/company to get me around that is not too pricey? Thank you!

  13. REASONS:
    10 – Warm Weather
    9 – 30 National Parks
    8 – Volcanoes (Natural Attractions/Hot Springs)
7 – Coffee (Quality Coffee Beans Exportation)
    6 – Wildlife (Protected Wilderness/Reconnect with Nature)
5 – Excursions & Adventures (Rafting, Surf, Trails, etc)
4 – Quality Food in San Jose
3 – Cheap Luxury Eco Resorts (Compared to the US of course)
2 – Beaches and Beach Resorts
1 – Pura Vida (Nice and Welcoming Locals)

  14. Thanks so much for promoting our beautiful country! Definitely recommend travellers from all over the world to visit! 🇨🇷

  15. Investing in crypto now should be in every wise individuals list, in some months time you’ll be ecstatic with the decision you made today.
