  1. My family and I will be moving to Santa Ana next month and will have to purchase our appliances once we arrive. Usually how long do they take to deliver?

  2. We have been in costa rica for 2 years. We love it. The biggest thing we can say is learn some basic Spanish. There are many that speak English but the people appreciate you so much more if you can speak their language. As for cost of living, it is more expensive here on most items. We look for costa rican brands when shopping for food. For 2 of us we spend about $100 per week as opposed to $60 per week in the states. That depends on where you are coming from. We moved here from ohio.

  3. prices sound reasonable in colons but when you convert to usd you need to add like 115% of the price and realize the prices are high for such cheap goods…crazy..

  4. Everything is expensive because all the products are imported and taxed. Costa Rica has no manufacturing capacity except for food processing and even in that category most products are imported from Mexico. Couple that with the very underdeveloped infrastructure for transport such as terrible roads and you have to conclude that Costa Rica is not the ideal location if you’re looking to live on a low budget.

  5. We’re excited to share that we will be doing a DETAILED "Cost of Living in Costa Rica" Video Series. Today…we’re going inside to see real prices and cost for things you may need to buy for your house.

  6. i remember my step son wanted to buy tires on credit, i talked him out of it and paid cash..the interest rate would have been like 68 % even on simple things like a blow dryer- crazy interest rates there….i guess they believe no one will finish paying for the items….be careful of any finance deals in c.r.
