Julie and I love to travel (and eat) – so we’ve teamed up with the people over at https://trovatrip.com to offer a food travel tour in 2022… Covid restrictions are top of mind, but we’re hoping for clear sailing by then. In order to help us plan the trip we need your input. So please help us out by taking a short survey and let us know what you’d like to do and see.

  1. took survey but unable to actually travel with you all… due to health issues and Non covid vaccinated due to said health issues

  2. Unfortunately I cannot afford a trip like that, however if you come to Australia I would happily attend a workshop or show you around the Central West (Dubbo/Orange etc). My choices if I could go would be Australia, Banff, Japan, Israel/Jerusalem, Morocco, Paris, Antarctica and New Orleans. Just a quick run around the world LOL!!!!

  3. Hey Glen & Friends, if you guys ever go to Mexico, I would highly recommend visiting Sinaloa. I know it has a bad rap for the cartels and what not, but they have amazing sea food! One of my favorite foods there that I’ve never ever seen before is this shrimp cocktail made using coconut water and coconut! It has such a unique flavor that I’ve never been able to taste here in the states. Oh and they sell this type of shrimp cocktail everywhere along the coast of Sinaloa and everyone’s cocktail is slightly different. Some use finely cut coconut, others use large coconut chunks, and some add other fruits in the cocktail. Highly recommend if you are ever in Mexico!

  4. I’m going wherever you go … virtually. That is to say we won’t book an actual trip even though we filled out the survey. If the trip happens to be some location with a pub serving their own "real ale" or "porter" or "stout" I won’t complain. If you end up with some recipes that can be retrofitted to "make at home" recipes that would be great too. I might ask you to go lightly on the dessert side of the menu.

  5. Hi Glen, I just happened to see this video and if you are planning on going to Mexico, please let me know. I’m retired and live in Playa Del Carmen,MX. and would love to at least get a chance to meet you guys!

  6. I don’t have money to book a trip, When I was in the Navy during the mid 90’s I was in Okinawa and that was a trip in a half just to get there and then back to the states.

  7. I don’t have money to travel with you right now, but if I was choosing a place to visit for food i would pick either Argentina or Kathmandu (the land of mangoes).

  8. Tangentially related to idea of this video, but I just moved to eastern North Carolina and EVERY restaurant seems to have Crab Dip in their appetizers. I’m on a quest to find the best one and I would be willing to host Glen and Julie if they would like to join me and it can cultivate into making our own recipe…just a thought.

  9. Heck, I’d love to see you travel across Canada, maybe by train, get off at each stop and try the local foods. Maybe, pick one dish to try at each stop to see how each province or town changes to dish for the local taste buds. Whatever you decide, I will be watching with keen interest.

  10. I will be talking to my husband in the morning about this if I woke him u] at 3 am he would give that look and shake his head, I also think a trip every 6 months to a host town for a long weekend would be great. The host could show off thier area. Everyone could book their own air or bus and then group price on motel. I’m in the Houston TX area if interested. Anybody in Maine on the coast?

  11. Rural Japan would be a dream trip. The big cities are so accessible but anywhere else takes a bit more work and organization.

  13. Eastern Europe to include Azerbaijan! Excellent food, fantastic people and scenery that is unbelievably beautiful

  14. I’d like to invite you to Kraków, Poland. I can provide accommodation and tour. The food is cheap and varied. I’d love to cook with you. This channel taught me so much about cooking and reinforced my passion for cooking so I’d like to give something back.

  15. The accessible part of Korea would be my dream destination.
Cultural events in Seoul and Busan, commie watching at the border, second best public warning system of the planet, lots of traditional and/or fermented foods, waaaay more then 57 varieties of kimchi, probably lots of kitchen techniques unknown to the western world.
And maybe you could also visit farmers practising korean natural farming.

  16. I want to travel to Japan to see Sumo too! The clock is ticking on one’s chance to see the greatest Rikishi to have ever lived (Hakuho) before he retires (although the recent Basho tells us we’ve got a bit longer than initially expected)!

  17. I’d love to travel Montreal or Quebec City with you. There is so much more to learn with "locals". New Orleans for example, is a completely different experience avoiding the French Quarter completely.

  18. Good luck with your project. Have you considered finding corporate sponsors, like airlines or hotel chains? Maybe you could travel further for longer that way.

  19. I don’t think it’s safe to travel yet and I want you all to be safe so I’m not filling out the survey. Just know there’s one no vote in all this. You’re doing fine bringing the world and the history of dining right to your backyard, into the studio back there and into our homes. Why fix something that ain’t broke? Take that money you woulda spent traveling and use it instead on improving the studio!
